I had debated about whether or not to get this and I am really glad I did. I drink a lot more hot tea and make a lot more iced tea than I ever thought possible. I am down to 1 diet soda a week in the unhealthy drink department. I use filtered water out of a britta filter carafe and fill it up twice a week.
PROs
- easy to use, nice controls, nice view of remaining water amount
- temperature controls on the water
- hot water on demand
- simple to refill and heats several days worth of hot water at once
- water and container stay perfectly clean being sealed in with the push button dispenser
- has been constantly on for months with no build up in the container
CONs
- large
- can’t place it under a cabinet while it is doing it’s initial boil due to steam (I do push it back on the kitchen counter after that, have had no issues)
- arrived with a strong plastic smell and is difficult to clean, the container is part of the appliance. I boiled and drained 2 complete fills through it and the smell went away
All in all a great product and I highly recommend it.
